The Holroyd family resided on Woody Island from 1953 to 1971. Woody is a very small island near Kodiak Island


Seldom has an artist captured the rigorous beauty of his homeland as has Wilbur Walluk, outstanding young Eskimo engraver from the tiny village of Shishmaref, north of Nome.

Each etching, realistically created by Walluk, symbolizes the struggle for existence in the Far North.

This fine example of Eskimo art is a lasting and memorable souvenir of Alaska
